Gatlinburg Letterbox
On Hwy. 441, find the Gatlinburg Welcome Center. Park in the upper parking lot – the one with the Gatlinburg Trolley stop. On the same side of the lot as the trolley stop, between the 5th and 6th light poles toward the back, you’ll see an outcropping of rocks. In a large cleft in the rocks nearer the 6th light pole, you’ll find the box covered with smaller stones.
Wait for the Trolley to depart before hunting around for this box! The crowd gets kind of large at the trolley stop.
Planted by the “Plains Janes” during their Spring Fling.

This box was adopted and the log book cleaned out. A new log book was inserted January 9, 2007.
At all times, use stealth, deception, and sneakiness when replacing this box. The Smokey National Park receives 10 million visitors a year, and most of them pass right by here!
