The original Planet of the Apes movie was released in 1968 and was a box-office hit, eventually spawning four sequels and a television series. It has one of the most famous endings in cinema history, which was filmed at Point Dume State Beach, where this box can be found. If you have never seen it, you should watch before finding this box to fully appreciate it.

Directions:
From Pacific Coast Hwy go south on Westward Beach Rd to fee collection for Point Dume State Beach and park at end. You can park free by going left before fee collection onto Birdview Ave, then curving left on Cliffside Dr. to small parking area on right. You will have to hike around to the right to get to Point Dume where the box is.

Clues:
Walk on beach toward Point Dume towering above you, which is where the box is located. Go left on a trail up to a jct where you go right to another jct. Go right again to just before an overlook platform. Go right on small path out to top of Point Dume. Near the end on the left side, look behind the tallest rock for LB on a ledge beneath a small bush under a rock. Please be discreet.
