The following is one of a series of letterboxes I have planted to encourage my children to spend more time outdoors. This is the first I have planted in less of a "hiking-area" and more of a suburban park. This is a public area and parking is nearby. This can be completed in less than 10 minutes and is extremely accessible, except for some minor stairs and about 20 feet of off trail "hiking".

Because this is such a public area, please use your discretion when searching and replacing.

Access:
Parking Coordinates: (41.023646, -73.612682)
Off exit 4 of I95, head south on Indian Field Road. Turn right onto Bruce Park Drive. After the baseball field on your right, turn right onto an unnamed one-way road. Park on the left anywhere. (Hint for the adults: the clues begin here, but your prize is at the end of this loop just passed the white building... so the further forward you drive, the shorter walk you will have to explore)

Park on the left.

Follow the sidewalk in the direction of vehicular travel and across a stone bridge.

Continue on the sidewalk and across the street via the zebra crossing so that the road is now on your left. Walk passed the white structure on your right. Look up and you'll see a cool gazebo structure to explore after you're done with your hunt!

On your left will be a lawn with a white fence. The road will fork for cars, but continue right on the sidewalk.

30 feet before the stop sign, look out for a stone staircase cutting up the rocks to your right. Turn off the sidewalk up this staircase.

After the 22 step, the rocks on your left will create a narrow climbing area for someone to walk on. Step off the stairs and go left onto this “platform” between the rock formation.

Follow the formation of the rocks (the rocks will create a wall on your right hand side) until the very end of the platform. There is a large (6 inch wide) crevice between the rocks on your right. Your prize lies at the bottom of the crevice buried in the leaves.

With your new stamp in hand, explore the rest of Bruce Park! It is a great place to adventure. Following the sidewalks in any direction and wander off trail too! Enjoy!

<Your kids might enjoy Bruce Park playground, just a 5 minute drive away!>

GO PUPS GO!
Chase, Marshall, Skye, Rubble, and Zuma applaud you!
