A Carnegie library is one built with money donated by Scottish-American businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. A total of 2,509 Carnegie libraries were built between 1883 and 1929, with 1,689 built in the United States and 32 in TX. The one in Tyler was built in 1904 and now serves as the museum and archives of the Smith County Historical Society. You can visit this old library on your way to finding this box nearby at Oakwood Cemetery.

Directions:
The old Carnegie library can be found at 125 S College Ave. The box can be found by driving north on N Palace Ave then east on W Oakwood St and right on N Ellis Ave to Line St entrance of Oakwood Cemetery on right. Park by entrance.

Clues:
Walk through gate into cemetery a short way to first road (Oak) on right. Go left 28 steps to a large cedar tree just past Long grave. LB is within trunks under sticks & needles.
