This quick lil find is in celebration of the USPS!
#SaveTheUSPS <3

I'm a HUGE proponent of sending friends letters thru the mail - something about having them open their mailbox and see a happy surprise in the form of a hand written note of love and support :)

Also - did you know that all of the Forever stamps are the same price?!
That means that instead of getting the classic American Flag stamp (kinda boring), you could get holographic T-Rexes, shiny Halloween silhouettes, or Sesame Street stamps!
There are so many to choose from - ask your local post office what they have available!

Anyway, back to the letterbox - find your way to the Post Office on Rt. 1 in Westbrook. Park here for this adventure.
After dropping off your mail in the drive thru mail drop, notice a little trail headed south toward the water. Take this trail, also known as the Salt Island Overlook.

Continue straight on this trail until you reach a little clearing with a single tree and a map stand. This'll be a super quick walk so no need for a map unless you want to explore the rest of the preserve.

At the clearing, take the trail on the left. Over a rock step on the path and past 2 two-sister trees on the right. Just before the trail starts making it's sharp turn right, notice a tree ahead with a sizeable rock in its roots. Snail Mail is hiding behind the tree, tucked in nook and covered with some twigs and leaves.

Continue to enjoy the preserve (the trail you're currently on will make a loop back around) or turn around and head back to your car, but don't forget to get yourself some fancy new stamps before you go!!

trail map is not necessary for this find but it's nice to check it out:
