My daughter carved this four part garden stamp after a day planting and weeding in our gardens. I love the design and hope you do too!
Directions:
Exit I-45 at Bay Area Blvd. Head east on Bay Area Blvd. and turn right (south) on Texas Avenue. The park is on the right side across the street from a cardiology office. There is a U-shaped parking lot. If you pass the post office on the left you have gone too far.
To the Letterbox:
Park in the lot and walk under the arch. Take the gravel path to the right. There is a chain link fence on the right. Keep following the gravel path along the fence and look for the picnic tables under pavilions. When you get to the 2nd picnic table on the left of the gravel path, stop. With your back to the picnic table, walk 40-45 steps towards the fence at the back of the park. Just before the fence, there are joined tallow and hackberry trees. The letterbox is in a hollow at the base of these two trees buried under sticks and leaves. Please cover the box well when you return it to the hollow.
Hike length: 0.5 miles
