This is a Hybrid Letterbox / Geocache
1. Drive to the end of Elnew Ave in Beverly
2. The trail will start out as if you are continuing straight on Elnew into the woods
3. Follow this trail until it “T’s” into another trail that is mostly parallel with Elnew. Turn right, you will find a Kiosk here
4. From the kiosk I counted 97 paces to a “Y” in the trail. (this should give you an idea of how big my paces are)
5. At the “Y” stay right and I counted 160 paces and then stopped
6. On the left, there is a fairly open wooded area. Walk in perpendicular to the trail one to two hundred feet until you come to a ridge.
7. Follow the ridge to the right. There is some poison ivy and ticks in there, so keep an eye out for those.
8. The ridge begins to curve to the left until you have almost reversed direction. At this point. Keep an eye out for a standing hollow tree not far from a rock wall. There you will find what you seek. (note, standing hollow trees don’t stay standing forever. Things could have changed since I was there)
Hike length: 0.5 miles
