This is my 900th Placed box
Colorado River Refuge park is along the Colorado River, and and has quite a few trails through the trees to check out. There are 2 sections, divided by railroad tracks.
Directions:
Form Hwy 71, take the Loop 150 exit (the one near Buc ee's). Don't go on Loop 150, but the other direction on Tahitian Dr (by Walgreens). Follow Tahitian drive a long ways until stops at Riverside Dr. Turn right on Riverside drive an go past golf course on left. Stay left always on Riverside dr. Pass Lost Pines Nature Trail. Soon, turn in left into large parking area with canoe pullout ramp, which is the Cottonwood Kings Trailhead.
To the Letterbox:
Take the Cottonwood Kings trail. After short time you will enter trees by river. A little farther you reach a bench on the right. Look right just of the trail for a stump. Box is a back base, buried.
