Allen Park is a small community park in Travis County with hours from morning until sunset. There is parking at the park off Westside Drive which is the entrance you will want to use. The box is less than a 1/2 mile from the entrance to the park.
Once parked, start at the ramp and go uphill. Keep following the path as it curves away from the street to run parallel to Westside. Stay on that path once the concrete ends and the gravel begins.
On your left you will pass a set of stairs that looks like it dead ends- keep going straight. You will pass foliage on the left, and through the trees can see the houses on your right as the trail climbs higher, but is never steep. Do not leave the mail trail.
Soon you will come to a set of stairs. They are not narrow stairs, but about two feet apart. Count the stairs. Between the seventh and eight stair is a large ceder tree. At the base of the tree, near the back is a pile of white and gray rocks. Each rock is about the size of a human hand.
The box is nestled under the rocks at the base of this tree.
We look forward to your success and hope to find your box soon.
Hike length: 0.5 miles
