The first game of polo played in America was played just outside Boerne by Englishmen at a retired British officer’s (Captain Turquand) famous Balcones ranch. The place where the Polo Club gathered & overnighted for celebrations, meetings etc. was at 706 South Main Street in Boerne, Texas.
Having seen this website, I carved a stamp. There is no place nearby that location so the stamp is hidden in Boerne Cemetery.
Directions:
From I10 go east on Johns Rd about 1 mile, turn left on North School St for 0.5 mile, then turn left into Boerne Cemetery at entrance with historical marker. Go to the last crossroads and park.
Clues:
Look for the markers for Mother & Father Becker. If you look between the markers there is a bush. It is on the father's side of the marker for Mother & Father Phillip. The bush is hiding an urn for flowers. The box is in the bush next to the urn.
