Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest
Directions: Drive East on highway 20. Turn left on Baker Lake Road
Between milepost 13-15, look for a small parking lot on the right (no fee).
You'll see a snow capped mountain on your way!
At 14 miles you’ll have quite the site
The lot and trailhead will be on your right
It’s first off the main road and easily sought
The feature of this trail showcases large trees
Named after soldiers, guards, and giants, with lots to see!
A boardwalk starts the trail, to keep it real nice
But might have a hidden box, underneath your eyes!
If you haven't guessed yet, here’s a few more clues
My letterbox is hidden beneath your shoes
At the start of your walk, within a few feet
Look under the boards, don’t worry it’s not steep!
Even Smokey the bear has been here before
He might have placed the box, under the floor
Have fun on your walk, and be sure to look up
Enjoy the giant trees, farewell and good luck!
