**As of 8/27/13 this box has been retired.**

The newest round of the box of the month is under way...

It is still the same idea- a new box every month for the year, from a different carver around the United States. The box will be in place from ~ the 1st through the ~25th each month-depending on weather, the mail etc. The final box (my own) will be permanently placed at the final location.

This year I am doing it a little differently. You will not be going to the same location each month for the new box, but rather the same trail and starting from different locations. The trail will be the Airline Trail. It runs through Lebanon and has many road crossings. Each month I will start you from a new crossing and head to a different spot on the trail.

So, for the seventh letterbox in this series, make your way to the Airline Trail crossing on Route 87 just over the Columbia/Lebanon town line. You will want to park on the South side where there is room for a few cars and then CAREFULLY cross the road in the crosswalk to the other side to head NORTH on the trail.

Head around the yellow gate.

You walk along a bit and cross over an old stone bridge with water on either side of you.

You will come to a spot that has cut logs on both sides of the trail.

From here proceed ~70 steps to a twisted sister tree on your left. From this tree head to your left, off trail, for about 12 steps to an Oak tree.

Look behind that tree for the Chairman Meow letterbox by Seekers Two of CO.

This is a wonderful carve and not to be missed.

Please be sure to hide the box well when you are done. It has many more stops to make before it gets home and back to its owner.

Thanks,
Flutterby
