Park near the visitor's parking sign and go to the front steps of the Reformed Church. You will find the dates that the Church was founded and rebuilt. Take all of the individual numbers in the year it was rebulit and add them together. You will come up with a two digit number. You will need this soon.
Head down the ramp to your right until you reach the parking lot. Turn left and proceed to the third tree. From the third tree, use the two digit number and walk that many paces (a normal step is a pace) and stop.
Look for H.D. Wood. You will see a very large 6 trunked Cedar tree. Go around to the backside of the tree and continue on to Ackerman. Then look for the cross through the crown. From the crown search for Robison. At Robison proceed to Daley. Daley to Keater points the way to an old giant. Reach through the wire and under a rock you will find your treasure.
Thank you for visiting our letterbox placed by the New Hurley Reformed Church Sunday School. Guests are always welcome. Please join us for worship on Sunday. Visit newhurleychurch.org for more information.
