Level of Difficulty: Easy – flat, paved bike trail.
Length: 4 miles Round-trip

Sunset Ride was planted on the Canalway Bike Trail in Fort Hunter, NY.

**You will need your own ink.

Directions:

From Main St. in Fort Hunter, turn onto Queen Anne St. Go 2.2 miles to the Yankee Hill Lock (part of the Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site). Park in the lot.

Clue:

Just past the entrance to the Yankee Hill Lock (on Queen Ann St.), there is the entrance to the bike trail. Turn left onto the bike trail (towards Amsterdam).

Ride or walk the bike trail, counting the brown fences on the left side of the trail. The 1st one is about 1.5 miles. **PLEASE NOTE: this fence may no longer be there due to Hurricane Irene.

Go to the 3rd brown wooden fence on the left side of the bike path. (It has an orange diamond and orange caution sign on it.)

Just prior to the 3rd brown wooden fence, there is a square cement block with 4 metal pegs sticking out the top of it.

Sunset Ride is behind this cement block, under bark, stones, and leaves. Please re-hide it well so other don’t see it from the trail. Thanks and Enjoy!!
