Eagle View Letterbox – Lake Arcadia
Metro Family has several letterboxes from which to choose
To find the one hidden here, this poem holds the clues
From I-35 head east on Route 66
On the right, there are several lake entrance picks
As you drive, you’ll see entrances three,
Two of them will lead to campgrounds for a minimum fee
The far eastern Douglas entrance is the one to take.
Here you’ll find the park office with information about the lake
From this point, you can explore multi-use trails by foot or by bike,
But a winding concrete path is the one to hike
The white pavilion marks the spot of the lake as seen from an eagle’s eye
Bring binoculars as things can look small from the sky
To the left you’ll see the Lake Arcadia dam; below your feet some rocks
It’s under one of these that the letterbox treasure you will unlock
Good luck and have fun, but we have one small request
That you keep the items as found for others to find and enjoy on their quest.
