This is my son’s first carving. He decided to make this stamp a Star Wars image since most boys his age are “in to” Star Wars right now. This box was planted in conjunction with the 5th annual international plant a letterbox day.
Directions: At the red light in Shippenville by Country Fair (village of Marianne), go North on SR 66. Take first Left, which is Oakwood Lane, and then turn Right onto Butternut Lane. The box is located at Paint Township Marianne Park, which is located at the very end of this street.
Clues: There is a small path behind the pavilion. Walk this path app. 50 ft. until you see a double-trunk Maple Tree on your Left. Directly across from this tree (on Right side of path) look into the woods about 15 steps off the path, and you will see a small stump with a hole in the top. The Storm Trooper is hiding behind this stump.
If the pavilion is being used the day you hunt for this letterbox, you may need to come back again another time as the hiding spot is very visible from the pavilion.
Bring your own ink-black suggested. Please record find on both Atlas Quest and LBNA, and let me know the condition of the box.
