A Fallen Log at Campbell Falls
Follow 272 North out of Norfolk to Campbell Falls Road on your left. Park in the upper lot along the road. Follow trail signs down the hill to the falls. At the bottom of the hill, one trail will go right towards the falls, which are beautiful and absolutely should be enjoyed on your way back. Another trail turns left. Follow it, staying on the left-most trail that winds along the stream. You’ll quickly pass a big mossy boulder on your left and then will soon come upon a huge pine tree on the right with a cute little children’s resting rock sitting across the path from the tree. The fallen log will be directly in front of you, lying across the path.
When you get to the fallen log, take 5-7 steps to the right. Peer under the log, which is forming a little bridge at that point. Looking to your left under the bridge and behind a hiding rock, you’ll find another, but much smaller, “waterfall”. Happy stamping! Please return the hiding rock as this clue is relatively close to the path.
