This LB came about due to "business" at the General Brown School District, so we are hopeful they are excited about the letterbox place for their namesake. We were pleasantly surprised that General Brown's residence is presently being used by Village Offices and the local library. We LOVE libraries, so we did ask permission to plant the box "nearby". The "portrait" on the LB stamp is based on a military coin issued following General Brown's illustrious career in the military. He is a true American Hero, so be sure to check out some of the addition info on this man via the links I list (better yet, visit inside and ask!!)

To find what you are looking for, you will need to travel to Brownville, NY, and head to Gen. Brown's home (current offices/local library) and once you pull into the horseshoe shaped drive-way, go to the building and read the Bronze plaque on the left side of the building. Hidden down and to the right, you will find that which you seek. Enjoy, and please re-hide well (there can be plenty of people around).
