A cetacean is beached in front of the the natural history museum near Seabright beach. Go directly forward from the tip of his nose to the bike racks, and turn right. Those large old bones under the window are the remains of a whale that washed up at Waddell Creek beach many years ago. The letterbox is hiding behind the base of the whale skull, stashed behind a holy rock.
Be careful rehiding the box, as many beachgoers may be passing by.
Go into this interesting museum while you are here, and enjoy exhibits aimed at all ages.
Parking for the museum is available on the side street, with a permit issued by the museum.
11/08 The box has been removed, but will be replaced soon. The museum staff say they have no objectionand will telll the groundskeepers not to remove the box in the future.
11/25/08 This letterbox is back in place. Happy letterboxing!
