I believe these boxes have been pulled by the park ranger. I am dealing with a sick parent right now and do not have the time to check on them or deal with the powers that be at the park right now, so I am archiving them as of 10/31/09. Thank you to everyone who has gone to look for them.

* Raccoon Feets have apparently gone missing* Frog feets are back. If anyone finds them please let me know. Thanks, Hez

Some of you may already have these stamps as they lived on Coe Hill for several years.

To the person who has been stealing boxes, please do not take these. They are here with the permission of the DEP and the Friends of Gillette Castle. They have been placed here for an event to get families and children out of their houses and into the outdoors so they may benefit from the wonderful things being outside does for the body and soul.

It's an easy 45 minute series which was designed for new boxers.

All steps used in these clues are approximate and will be the stride of a five foot letterboxer.

Start at parking lot next to the pond.
From the parking lot go out to the paved road and go right in a northerly direction. Continue along paved road until you see a trail sign on the left. At that sign, head into the woods onto the trail. You will be heading in a westerly direction. At the sign that says RR7S stop and take a right on the unused train bed about 13 steps or halfway down the bed. Stop and at 340 degrees go off the bed and head to the right side of the grey birch tree. You will find the first box "Mouse Feets" behind a trapdoor.
Go back out to the trail you were on and continue until you come to the second bridge. At the second bridge, go to the end of the bridge and you will see a log on the left. Go to the end of the log and there you will find box number two "Squirrel Feets"
Back out on trail heading west. When you get to the trail marker post on the left side of the trail, go due south about 4 steps to the birch tree, look behind it for "Raccoon Feets". (These have been reported missing)
Again, back out on the trail until you come to another post. At that post go 120 degrees to the red oak, look behind for "Beaver Feets".
Back out on the trail heading west. You will have nice views of the Ct. River on your right depending on the season. Pass by a rock ledge on your left. At the approximately 4 foot high tree stump right on the trail on the right side, go right down the hill to the two sisters stump and look on the backside. Box number five, “Bird Feets” is hiding behind it.
Back out on the trail and continue in the direction you were heading until you get to the intersection with another main trail. Take a left onto that trail and then another quick left at the trail sign heading uphill. The river will be on your left and the trail you were just on will be below you. Shortly you will pass a low rock wall on your left. Soon you will see several large rocks right next to the trail. Look behind the last one for box six, “Fox Feets”.
Continue on that trail past a large wolf tree on the left looking for a rock pile on the right side of the trail about halfway to the next wolf tree. Look in that pile of rocks under an arrow head looking rock by a speckled rock for box number seven "Frog Feets".
Once again, back on the trail, going over and around several fallen trees and past a large snag on the left, keep going a little further and see another downed tree to the right of the trail. You will see a short cedar stump with a rock on top, box is in the stump under the rock. You can retrace you steps back to the last turn and take a left back to your car.

Hope you have fun and with any luck these feet will stay put for a while.
