Status of microbox: Reported missing. Retired.
The "Bernhardt Winery" microbox is located at the Bernhardt winery, east of Planterville. This small winery has a lovely tasting room, and great views from their outside picnic area. They also have Sunday concerts in the spring and summer. The wine is okay, the best being their Reserve Port. Tasting was $4, plus $1 for the port.
Directions:
From Navasota, go east on Hwy 105, through Plantersville (Hwy 1774), then start looking for FM 204. Turn right on it, and follow signs.
To the Microbox:
After tasing, go out back to the picnic area. Find the grape stomp. Walk behind this to the 1st Pecan tree, then to the next pecan tree (near the barbed wire fence). Micro is on back side of this tree, at base near roots, buried, with bark on top.
