**7/10/08 Reports are that this box is missing. It will take me a few months to replace. Will update when I do! **

Pudding Creek Trestle is the remains of a logging railroad which used to haul lumber into Fort Bragg. Built around 1916, this 44 ft. high, 545 ft. long bridge has just been restored in November of 2007 for pedestrian and bicycle use, the thread connecting MacKerricher State Park to downtown Fort Bragg. Glass Beach is also just south of the bridge. In the Spring, April and May, the bluffs are aflame with beautiful wildflowers.

The Trestle is at the north end of town on Hwy. 1 (Main St.), and there is public access and parking just north of the Beachcomber Motel.

Clues: From the north end of the trestle, take any of the small trails onto the bluff, keeping towards the edge. It is a short ways to 3 large tree trunks lying on the bluff close together, which are handy seats to view the trestle and the beach below. Facing the beach, to the right of the trunks is a small cedar tree at the bluff’s edge. Head towards it and look for a large square of concrete, left over from some logging or sailing endeavor. On the ocean side on the underside of this block is your treasure.

Please hide the box back carefully and as I don’t live in the area, please let me know when you find it! Thanks!
