Location:
Bob Heirman Wildlife Preserve at Thomas' Eddy
14913 Connelly Rd
Snohomish, WA (United States)
Blue Heron Box:
***BLUE HERON IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE. COYOTE IS STILL ACTIVE.***
Park in the parking lot.
Head down the gravel hill into park.
Follow the gravel trail until you reach the 'Y' at the River's edge. Go to the Left onto the dirt trail. Follow to the massive pile of fallen trees that cross the trail. Step over the first two logs on the ground. Look directly Left immediately after stepping over the two fallen logs. You will see a strangely shaped, knotted piece of a tree. The Blue Heron resides within.
Coyote Box:
Park in the parking lot and go down gravel hill into park.
Continue to the end of the gravel trail until you get to a 'Y' at River's edge. Take the trail to the Left. Follow this until you come across a massive pile of fallen trees over the trail. Climb over them. Once on trail again turn around to face the pile of trees once again. See the log on the ground directly in front of you? Walk to the right end of that log. Look for the farthest right stump on said log where a branch broke off. Directly across from that branch stump under the large pile of trees you will find the cave where the Coyote hides.
