Thorne Pond Conservation Area Letterbox.Coming from Conway area, take Rt. 302 West. Pass Attitash ski area on the left.  Across from the Grand Summit Hotel entrance (which will be on your left), there is an unpaved parking lot on your right.  If coming from the West, the parking lot will be on the left after the Trail's End Ice-Cream.Above a beautiful iron gate there is a sign "Welcome to Thorne Pond Conservation Area".

Go through the gate, and head straight. With the pond on the left continue down the path and past another brown sign "THORNE POND".  Keep going straight (don't turn right or left) through the field.

Enter the woods. From the first step into the woods, count approximately 30 paces.  On the right, there will be an old Birch Tree with a trunk shaped like a letter "Y".  Next to it there is another Birch. To the right of that birch you will find a snail - a hand carved stamp.

Please rehide well.
