From route 219 in Barkhamsted follow signs for Ski Sundown. After leaving 219 go 0.2 miles park and on left (east side) trail is on the right (west side). Might be two miles (more or less) good for kids.

Follow blue blazes at all time. Walking mostly on flat trail (at first) coming to very run down stone walls in a gully. After leaving the gully and a slight uphill....watch for a big rock ledge (or wall) on the right with a large, gravestone like rock in front of it. After a bit you’ll be on a long downhill, not steep but long going into a meadow with a damned pond at the other end. (Beware of posted signs here). Cross below the dam on an old stone bridge and with the pond on your left, pass a fire ring and picnic table, keeping a close watch for those blues blazes (where in blue blazes are they? :-). At the trail Junction be sure to stay on blue, going mostly uphill. Keep watch on the right for a large hip high tree stump, trail-side and just as you begin to see what appears to be a clearing up ahead there’s another, shorter stump followed by yet one more (both on the right and trailside). From this second short stump, look left and uphill to see a boulder leaning into a tree with a larger boulder and a quartz sidekick uphill a bit more. Look behind the sidekick for Antlers. The overhang isn’t much but there’s lots of debris for covering it completely. (If perchance you get to the "cleared by man area" you went too far).

Go back the way you came stopping at the gravestone like rock in front of the ledge. Look under a smaller flat rock (the one closest to the upright rock) for And Friend. Cover well with leaves etc.
