THIS BOX IS CURRENTLY MISSING 11/19/2010. I HOPE TO REDO IT AND PLANT IT ELSEWHERE IN THE PARK.
Easy for Kids, quick
Location: Airport Road, Westerly, RI
Go to the Rotary Park - park by the tennis courts
Follow the concrete walk toward the restrooms.
You have a gazebo and the playground on your left and the tennis courts on your right. Take the walk to the end of the tennis courts and you will find a low wooden fence on your right. You will find an Oak Tree at the edge of the woods. At the Oak Tree, go 25 steps at 50 degrees (you will see a slight path). You will go past an evergreen on your right and see a six finger tree straight ahead. Look under a rock in the middle of the six finger tree to find what you seek. After you have stamped in, please cover the box well.
While you're here enjoy the playground or the walking trail to the right of the playground.
Note: This is my daughter's (age 7) first attempt at planting a box and she came up with the whole idea herself. We have played at this park MANY times.
