Two things strike me as odd about the Two Rock Valley. First, there are three rocks and second, they sit on a hill. Despite this oddity, or perhaps because of it, I placed the Friendly Valley letterbox here.
1. Head west from Petaluma on Washington St.(as if you were heading to Bodega Bay).
2. Approx. 9 mi. from downtown is Spring Hill Rd. on the left. Turn here.
3. Immediately on the right is a church. Pull in the parking lot and park near the chain gate of the cemetery. This is a very old cemetery with headstones dating back to the 1820's, some perhaps older, so please be careful around them, especially the wooden ones.
4. Step over the chain and walk straight ahead watching the row of graves on your right.
5. On the far side of Edward Douglas Reed's grave turn right
6. Ahead of you at the back of the cemetery is a big hollow tree stump. The box is in it attached to a wire for retrieval.
7. If you go back to the main road, turn left and go 1 mi. You will see a point of intrest marker and you can see the three "Two rocks" high on the hill "Valley". Have fun!
