Olson park is located on the NE corner of Pontiac Trail at Dhu Varren Rd. There is a playground for children, a picnic pavilion, basketball courts and a dog park. (Even a dog drinking fountain!)
This box is an easy walk along bike/hiking trails that circle the man made pond, but expect to walk uphill a bit. Park near the picnic pavilion when you enter the park.
Clues:
Follow the river that never dries up.
Watch out for boulders as you go under two rock arches.
Cross the pavement to see the Michigan natives.
Your path lies before you, its an uphill climb!
Take the "highways" and ignore the low ways.
Climb until you see a sign, or at least the back of one.
Remember, the orange way is the "right" way.
Enter the tunnel of trees and admire the view of the pond from the biggest tree of all.
At the east base of the tree you will find what you seek.
Please re-hide well and remember, eat more Girl Scout cookies!
