HOW’S YOUR ASPEN?

Placed by The H-A’s (JrsyBoy, TMOOSE & Stupender Man)
Placed on March 18, 2006
Safe & Dry as of 07/18/09, when the journal was replaced a third time.
MISSING AS OF 09/10/11. NO DECISION YET ON REPLACING SINCE THE AREA WHERE IT WAS HIDDEN WILL SOON BE UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

This is a microbox, so please remember an ink pad and a pen.

Kid friendly, stroller friendly, bike friendly and dog friendly.

South of Denver, down Littleton way,
Stands a large Grove of Aspen on South Santa Fe.

Get there by car or get there by rail.
You can even arrive via the Platte River trail.

You may find yourself tempted but stick to your quest,
You’ll find that remaining focused is best

Locate a place that is both White and Black.
As you start to walk, it should be at your back.

Before you is a “lot” of ground to cross.
Follow the aroma of marinara sauce.

Check over your shoulder. Do you see a mountain?
Be careful! Don’t trip and fall in the fountain.

Depending on the season, the fountain may be dry,
But either way, your goal is very close by.

Select a lonely bench. “Which one?” you ask.
If you can watch the light rail, that's the one for this task.

Behind you in a gap between the rocks
You’ll find the “Where’s Your Aspen?” Microbox.

Having skinny fingers or small hands makes retrieving this microbox easier. Please rehide well, but be careful not to push it too far back into the crevice or it may get stuck. Also, bring a sandwich bag with you; the one it is in will help you get it out of the crevice, but may be pretty beaten up and need replacement from all of the in-and-out. Thanks!
