THIS BOX IS MISSING AS OF 4/07/09. WE ARE THINKING OF REPLANTING NEW BOX IN DIFFERENT AREA. WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

This box was placed in memory of my husband's uncle, which the covered bridge is named after.

Take route 44 to Glocester.

We will be giving you two sets of directions. One set of directions brings you through the George Washington Campground, which charges a small fee from April until October. The other set of directions brings you into the back of the campground which no fee is charged, but in the winter, certain gates are closed for cross country skiing. We suggest to be safe just use the back way from April until October. You can drive right to the covered bridge, but it would also make a nice bike ride or hike.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
From George Washinton Campground, go through the entrance and continue on the main trail, which is Washington Trail. Continue on this trail until you come to a Y. Take a left onto Center Trail. Take a right at gate #6, which is Richardson Trail. Then take a left at gate #10, where you will see the covered bridge.

Take Pulaski Memorial Park, which is also off of Route 44(just a short distance from George Washinton Campground). You will come to the entrance of Pulaski Memorial Recreation Area, DO NOT TAKE THIS RIGHT. Bear left on the road and continue on until you see Border Trail on the right. It is clearly marked as a road. On this trail you will see Pulaski Park Beach on your right, continue on for about a 1/2 mile and take a right at the red gate #12. Go 1.2 miles and you will see the covered bridge.

CLUES:
Go to the side of the bridge WITHOUT the sign that says Carl T. Erickson. From the right side of the bridge at the corner post take a reading of 215 deg. to a sister tree. The small stream will be on your left. At the base of the trunk, covered by a flat rock is the Covered Bridge Letterbox.
