Trail notes: I have received reports that there tend to lots of cows that roam along this trail from October to April.

This box is a part of the Leap Frog Nature Series which is based on children books by Gary Torrisi and Sarah Toast.

Trail Difficulty: Easy clues and up a hill a short distance. 20 minutes roundtrip if that.

If you’re searching for Eager Jackalope, ensure you read those clues before searching for it as you need to keep your eyes open before going through any gates. =-)

Directions: From San Fransisco head east on I-80 and take the Allison Dr. exit. Head north on Allison Dr. until you reach the intersection of Browns Valley Parkway where you will turn left.

From Sacramento travelling west on I-80 and take the Monte Vista Dr. exit and at the first light go straight on Browns Valley Parkway. From Browns Valley Parkway turn left at the light for Wrentham Dr. Follow this road a couple miles until you can turn left on Rambleton Dr (a few blocks past the park and school on your right). Park at the black gate on your right between #561 & 573.

Clues: At the gate head up and over the open concrete space. Look for the small black gate down on the left and enter the gate to the trail. Begin your trek up the small canyon straight ahead keeping the fence to your right. Keep your eyes out for the tree with a gutted out heart at the base on the right of the trail. Proceed 19 paces/38 steps further up the trail to the large multi-armed tree on the right. From that tree head 9 paces at 170 degrees to the multi-trunk smaller tree on the left side of the little trail. The Little Jackrabbit jumped inside this tree under hid under some sticks. Please rehide me well as this can be a busy spot.
