Planted as a substitute for the Brandywine Box (MIA since 10/03), replaced 9/10/08. Brandywine M&M recalls both the importance of the Brandywine in Delaware's economic history, and some history of the park. (When it was part of the DuPont estate, much of the current parkland was pasture for a herd of dairy cattle.) Note--microbox, please BYO ink; also (sorry) no chocolate involved, please BYO candy....
Driving Directions: from I95/I495, follow Rte 92W until you reach the stop sign at Rte 100. Turn left onto Adam's Dam Road & left again at the park entrance. Park in the hawk watch lot. (Fee charged March 1-Nov. 30: $4 DE, $8 out of state.)
Clues: Hawk Watch sign
Downhill to blue at 90°
Small rocky trail downhill to intersection
Take the path through the big downed tree
Look for tree on the left with a rock beside it
Under rock
Approved by Delaware State Parks
