****This series is retired****

Stars and Stripes Park is located on the south side of Lake Hefner. From Lake Hefner Parkway (or Highway 74), go west on 63rd. Turn right on Portland Ave. Go about 1 mile north on Portland Ave, and you will drive straight into Stars and Stripes Park.

Drive around the circle in the park, that includes the playground and picnic benches and notice where the paved walking trail starts (on the west side of the circle drive), then park close to the flag pole. One letterbox is located close to the flag pole, the other is located off the paved walking trail.

USAFA
This letterbox is in honor of student and staff soldiers of the US Air Force Academy. Walk on the sidewalk towards the flag pole. As you enter the open paved circle area surrounding the flag pole, you will see brick sitting areas. The corner of the first sitting areas that you pass after entering the paved open area around the flag pole has loose and missing bricks. The letterbox is tucked into the space left by missing bricks. It has a brick in front of it, to shield it from view.

Hawks
This letterbox is in honor of US Military Soldiers. Walk over to the paved walking trail that you spied earlier. Take the paved path, turning toward the left when you have a choice. When you get to lightpost #10, backtrack in the direction you just came, 35 steps. The letterbox is about 6 steps into the brush, wedged in between the 2 trunks of a tree, at about knee level, covered with bits of bark and sticks.
