THIS BOX IS CONFIRMED MISSING & HAS BEEN RETIRED.

Find your way to the top of Skinner's Butte in the middle of Eugene. Assuming you are driving, park anywhere in the lot atop the butte. Admire the views, eventually walking to the little lookout point that looks southward over downtown Eugene. Walk along the front of the parking lot heading west, and keep your eyes peeled for the gravel trail on your left (almost at the end of the parking lot).

Follow that gravel path downhill on the rock "steps". You will see a tree which has fallen across that path and been cut in two. Continuing on, the gravel path will soon curve quite drastically to the left. Where the gravel trail curves you will see another small dirt path on the right; it's entrance is marked by a broken stump. The letterbox has been placed 8-10 paces down the path from the broken stump, it's nestled underneath some logs on your left. It's on the backside, hidden by ivy.

Keep in mind that Skinner's Butte is a popular spot, and you should be mindful of other folks in the immediate area. Be discreet! Also, I have a feeling this area could get pretty muddy and nasty in the rainy seasons, so be warned! Most of all, have fun!
