This is a Tag – A – Long box to Swamp Yankee and Sunshine’s Middlesex County Box

As you walk down down almost to Chapman Pond, the trail turns westerly. In the summer you have to peek through the lush growth of green to see the water now on your left. In a book about the tide waters of the Ct, River that Swamp Yankee and Sunshine have, it tells us about a long ago business of making buttons from Oyster shells. Watch on the right side of the trail for an old foundation. Some say if you are lucky you may find an old button left behind. Carefully climb up and around to the north side of the foundation . About mid way along, behind a stone trap door you may find The Button Box.
Please cover well from peeking eyes.
