Originally planted by NH Cooties and adopted in October 2011 by Team Cat.

Trail difficulty: easy
Clues: easy
Length: under 15 minutes
Directions: Rt. 101 in Amherst to route 122. If you are heading East it will be left off the off-ramp, if you are heading west it will be a right off the off-ramp. (*be careful and watch signs for 122 if you exit from heading west, it takes a left at the lights*) Boston Post Rd is off from route 122. Take Boston Post Rd to Corduroy Rd (it turns right into Corduroy- just stay straight). About a half mile from there is a sign on the right that says "Jasper Valley". Park on side of the road by the sign.

This box is in memory of 2 cats: Max and Jack Cheese.

Max and Jack Cheese were 2 cats that were rescued from a shelter by our friend Sarah. Max and Jack both had Leukemia and were in the shelter for almost a year. Sarah took them both and gave them a big home and lots of love. She had them 2 years when Jack became sick and had to be put to sleep. Max was so sad and lonely we think that is what made him get sick shortly after and he went to be with Jack. (There are 2 stamps in this box -the first stamp was made in memory of Jack. We hadn’t even planted Jack’s box yet when Max died so suddenly after. So we decided to have him in the same box as Jack.) Since then Sarah has rescued 2 more cats with Leukemia (Colby and Feta Cheese). They were in a cage for the past 9 months until Sarah took them home. They have adjusted nicely and are very happy in their new home.

Feline Leukemia can only be spread to other cats through saliva. There are cats with Leukemia at your shelter that can be adopted. They can live a full life but must be kept indoors to protect themselves and other cats.

If you stop by you just might see Max and Jack Cheese.

Clues: From Jasper Valley sign walk north along the road to first trail on left. Walk to the pond without taking any trails that branch off. Keep going until you come to the first small beach area on the left. If you look further on trail you will see a "Y" in the trail. Take the right trail 80 paces to a small clearing. Take a left and go 25 paces to a trail on the right. Go up the hill. The trail will then level out a bit. When the trail starts to go downhill look to your right for a group of woodpecker ridden white birch. Search around the back for Max and Jack Cheese.

****For each stamp in the book, we will donate $1.00 to the humane society*******
