Difficulty: Easy
Distance to box: About 0.12 miles from parking spot

This box is included in my ” Montgomery Trace Series”. The Montgomery Trace series includes boxes placed on or nearby Hwy 149.

Directions:
From Montgomery and Hwy 105, go north on Hwy 149 for about 5 miles to parking area on the right side. This will be just after Hidden Forest road on your right, soon after a historical marker sign. It is the only parking area on the right side for the National Forest.

To the letterbox:
From the parking area walk northeast towards the information board. Enter the trail from the board, you should be bearing about 60°. The trail has orange markers. Follow wide path to 2nd utility pole from where you enter path (I think its 3rd pole from Hwy 149). Looking 60° from point should be a large pine tree on left side of trail. Or if you continue down trail for 12 paces, pine tree should be directly left of you. Box is on ground behind tree base. Because of shrubbery, you may need a stick to push it out to you and to place it back.

Very easy, fairly kid friendly trail.

There are three other box in vicinity:
Blue Northern Microbox
Dragonfly
LoneStar Hiker

From this same parking lot you can depart on foot for BabyBear’s Blue Northern Microbox.
