REPORTED MISSING 6-22-05
Replaced 10-10-05 - slightly different location! If you have old clues, please contact me for the amended version.

============================================
Full-sized box; no stamp pad. Suggested color: muddy brown.

Lots of stair climbing (no strollers) and hiking, could get muddy and wet if you slip. There are alternate routes to the hiding spot which are less strenuous, but still require stair climbing.

Bring gloves to retrieve this box and watch out for poison ivy.

Dogs allowed, but must be on leash.

============================================

When Hershey heard we were going down to Matthiessen State Park to go hiking through the Upper Dells area, she excitedly barked "Can I go too, Mom? Can I place a letterbox? Puhleeze???" I have to admit I'm a sucker when she gives me those puppy dog eyes, so I said, "Well, you'll have to help me make up the stamp for the box." She excitedly placed her muddy paw on a block of carving material, and there was her stamp (of course, lacking
opposable thumbs, it fell to yours truly to do the carving).

The next day we set out on our journey. She was so excited, she just bounded into the water (she is a chocolate lab, you know). She raced along the trails, as far as her leash allowed. And that's how Hershey earned her tail…err…trail
name, "Muddy Paws the Dirty Dog".

(Later in the day, we stopped off at Buffalo Rock. No water for her to play in, but she really freaked out seeing those bison!)

Please contact me to obtain the rest of the clues. (I'll also send you the clues for "Little Bit of Flutter" located the same park.)
