Park at the Herring Run Recreation Area on the mainland side of the Cape Cod Canal. Get on the path heading to the Bourne Bridge.
Notice the Numbers on the utility poles. After passing pole #206 take a right up a dirt path. At the top of the path is a Reconstruction sign - stand with your back to the sign then go left.
When you reach an open area (where the power lines cross the canal) there will be a path back down to the canal - Do not take it. Instead look right to a split trunk Oak tree. The box is under some leaves and sticks.
