8/20/11 - This box has been pulled for maintenance. I will update when I go back there in the future.

The box is hidden on Parker Mountain on the Spenser Smith Trail directly on Route 126. Coming from Center Barnstead (**NOTE: Be careful driving through Center Barnstead the local police have many speed traps so stick to the 30 MPH speed limit) go about 10-15 miles on route 126 when you pass the "126 SERVICE CENTER" you know you are getting close. The trail head is about 1/2 mile on the right, it is located down the middle of a hill so be prepared to slow down quickly - there is enough parking for about 10 cars. You know you are in the right place if you see the address marker of 630 and 632 on the previous driveway which is right next to the parking area for the trail.

If you stand in the parking lot and look straight up the trail on the tree at the beginning of the trail there is a white and red sign which reads
Spenser Smith Trail
Viewpoint 0.2 Mi
Parker Summit .5 mi
Foot Traffic Only
The sign is kind of high up on the tree so look up.
Walking into the trail there is 2 rusted posts with a pipe and a chain running through it. The trail is marked in Red. Directly prior to the 5th trail marker you will see what I'll call the woodpecker tree on the left hand side (some of the first couple of markers are peeling so they are not as noticable) You'll need to find the woodpecker tree to get your bearings. You'll know once you see it, why we call it the wood pecker tree. Go down the trail 5 more markers after the woodpecker tree and look to the left there should be 2 LARGE boulders that form a "V" in the center. Looking at the rocks go through the V to the back side of the rock located on the right and underneath the rock and some sticks is the letterbox. I recommend going to the summit - it's a beautiful view especially in the fall.

Enjoy!
