This box was maintenanced on 4/3/05, and given a new log book. The old one had apparently been abducted by critters. Happy hunting!

This is another series placed at Fort Harrison State Park. Park at the Lawrence Trailhead parking area. Go to the picnic area closest to the creek and road. From here, walk along the perimeter of the field of picnic areas until you find a birch birdhouse. You will see a path near the birdhouse. Enter the path and follow it along the creek. The trail will come to an end at a large tree with a vine wrapping around the rear side of it. Looking directly at the tree, from the path, look to your left and take approximately 8 paces to where "X" marks the spot. You will find the "Independence Day" box at the "X".

****Unfortunately, The second box in the series, "July 4th", has fallen victim to critter-raiding. It is unavailable at this time (8/8/04)*****

Return to your starting point. Cross the road to a small open area near the creek. In the southwest corner of this open area, you will find a deer trail leading into the woods. Follow this trail until you come to a fork. Take the left fork and follow it approximately 40 paces. You should see a vine hanging directly above the trail. To the left of the vine, there is a cluster of 3 trees. Look in the middle of the three to find the "July 4th" box.

Bring red and blue stamp pads with you for an extra special image!
