As a disclaimer I do not ordinarily do boxes like this. But because several of my friends have small children this series was done with the intent of being extremely kid friendly. There are five letterboxes within steps from each other in this series. So if you are a letter boxer into long hikes or like your boxes spaced quite a distance apart this series is probably not going to be high on your to do list.

This series begins in the parking area of Wilderness Park in West Linn Oregon. From the parking lot take the trail on the south east end of the parking lot. Stay on the main trail and take it until the trail cuts off and you see two rocks at the exit. Now stand between the two rocks and face the trail you just came up.

Do you know about the Care Bear Stare? Well you see the Care Bears keep watch over the earth to keep bad feelings at bay. Whenever a kid is feeling down, they are there to help bring a smile the child’s face. Each Care Bear has special power, related to the symbol on its tummy. When they untie, they can use the Care Bear Stare to beam good energy at their enemies such as No Heart, Professor Cold Hear, Shrieky and Beastly.

Well for this letterboxing series we are going to pretend that your Mom or Dad is Professor Cold Heart, mortal enemy of the Care Bears. The Care Bears have set a trap and are planning on using the Care Bear Stare on Professor Cold Heart. They are all hiding within staring distance, but you must help them. To complete the Care Bear Stare and defeat Professor Cold Heart you must find each of the five Care Bears. You should be able to see each of their hiding location from the two rocks you are standing between.

Grumpy Bear is hiding at the base of a tree.
Love-A-Lot Bear is hiding in a stump.
Tender Heart Bear is hiding under a rock by a tree.
Bedtime Bear is hiding at the base of a naked tree.
Sunshine Bear is hiding under a large mossy rock.

Happy Hunting,
Iron`Bear and pandora{I`B}

Note to Finder - It seems a couple people have ran into a cat along this trail that appears very friendly and wants attention, this cat attacked one of the children that tried to pet it, so please do not pet any cats along this trail.
