Hogback
Winter friendly? No way…Do you have a death wish?

5 miles north of Marquette on CR 550 Park in the lot on the left side of the road.

Clues:
From the parking lot, with your back to the road, take the path on your left up the small hill. At the top of the short hill, follow the path away from the road to the first path on your left. It is about 50 feet down the trail between two large pines. Follow blue to an old railroad bed and a little bridge. Cross the bridge and go right. The trail appears to end at a rock wall. Looks can be deceiving. Climb over, go through the debris and pick up the blue trail to the west. Climb over large fallen tree with exposed root. Continue to follow blue marks. The trail gets tricky through here so keep your eyes open for blue. Walk between two large sawn logs. Step up three boulders. At the brown sign, head for the summit. At the base of the mountain, you can see a blue dot; the path up is directly behind it, even though it doesn’t seem like it. (Some of the landmarks to this point may have changed. Just get to the summit.:) ) At the summit, walk to the southern lobe. Stand with a dead tree infront of you and the power plant to your left. Turn so the power plant is on your right and walk at a bearing of 80 degrees until you stand between two dead birch, one that has a broken stump. Walk east toward the point, stand next to a little birch growing from the rocks. Spot the crevace at 42 degrees. With the windswept pine above you, step up on the stone ladder and search the rubble.

Good luck!
