The Dagger Hill Letterbox is in the Rector Chapel Cemetery near La Vernia, Texas.

La Vernia is located on US 87 South about 20 miles from San Antonio. Take FM 775 North out of La Vernia. At 0.5 miles past the Cibilo Creek turn right on FM 2772. After 0.4 miles you will see a historical marker sign pointing to the right. Turn right on Rector Chapel Cemetery Rd. This road looks more like a driveway than a public road. After 200 feet you will see a clearing to the left and the cemetery on the hill.

Take a few moments to read the marker and learn about some of the earliest residents of La Vernia.

To find the letterbox begin at the northeast corner of the walled enclosure. Directly North of this corner are two plots surrounded by iron fences. From the North side of the farthest iron fence walk, north about 15 steps to the edge of the clearing. Find a hackberry tree with a large piece of red sandstone at its base. The letterbox is behind this rock. Please replace the rock and letterbox as found.
