The city of Wyoming is located Southwest of Grand Rapids.

(This box was originally placed 8/16/03 and removed temporarily in April due to the removal of many Ash trees in the park. It is again resting in its original spot and no changes were made to the clues)

Directions
Linus C. Palmer Park is located in Wyoming, MI at 1275-52nd St. S.W. Follow the directions to the park found in Dragon Fyre letterbox. After you have parked in the first parking area, take the short drive to the clearing with the ball diamond.

Note: Be aware of poison ivy!!! In the Spring, be mindful of wildflowers. Park is closed Oct. 31st to May 1st.

Clues
At the SE corner of the clearing you'll find
the start of the trail that goes into the pines.
Then comes a "Y" - just what should you do?
Crossing the creek is the best way for you.
You must choose the next trail...which one should be it?
180 degrees? Now you can see it!
Ah, there's a bench, now sit, take a rest.
When rested, the trail at 210 looks the best.
A storage of brush and debris you will find;
The trail is marked by a triple trunked pine
A pine tree with 4 trunks beckons you on
down the next trail that you come upon.
Strange to see pieces of cement and limestone
lying on the floor of the woods all alone.
You have run out of trail - East or West? What's your bet?
Walk down the one where you'd see the sun set.
Step over the slender fallen pine tree
Narrow trail continues at 330.
You'll pass between two double trunked pines,
and soon it's a main trail that you will find.
Go right 7 paces, and soon you can boast
that you found what you seek, it is very close!
A tree with its foot sticking up for good measure
at 330, go search for your treasure.
Now how to get back to the place where you started
without going back on the route you just charted?
Back to the trail, turn right, off you go.
You might want to play golf, but the answer is, "no".
Trail bends to the right, say goodbye to the golfer.
Follow along - what has this route to offer?
Enjoy the canopy of trees you walk under
and just where is this trail going you wonder.
Now you can walk to the clearing and say
"I've been victorious" and call it a day...
Or...go left at the trail before you'd be through,
to find a surprise out there waiting for you.
You'll come to a fence post, tho not very quickly.
Take 24 paces from there at 160.
To the right 7 paces and open your eyes.
See the downed log that holds the surprise.
