The hike up may be challenge enough, so the clues aren't real brain-twisters. If you're not familiar with the area, do a little research or ask some locals. Once you've found the starting point, the main hiking paths are pretty obvious. Watch out for snakes, cats, and creepy-crawlies!

Take the scenic route:
Sparrow's watch strikes 'leventh Hour
In Spearfish Canyon

between Kissing Rocks
to the south; and to the north,
Victoria Lane.

Trek into the Gulch.
Over stones, between rock walls,
up homemade ladder.

Shinny up the log
underneath the rock archway.
Climb the root "ladder."

Moss-boulders ahead.
Continue upward, look for
Stoners' "cave" on right-

continue on path
that passes in front; locate
boulders to your left.

Up and to your left
will be a rock outcropping
above shallow pool.

Directly across:
a cluster of "green" boulders.
To your right: rock path.

Head into the gorge:
follow the rock path downward
toward water and rocks.

The pool of water
Should be behind you now, as
you're standing on rock.

The boulder to your
right has a lone dead tree in
its top. Look lower.

At the base is a
crevice, whose entrance is home
to a pile of rocks.

Find a stick, (or you
can be brave and use your hands.)
Unearth Sparrow's box!
