Dedicated to all the Moms out there in letterboxing land, this box was planted for my mother on Mother's Day. Now that she's had a chance to go and find it, here are the clues for everyone else!

Rating: Easy

Start at Mansfield Hollow State Park, on Bassett's Bridge Road, off of Route 195. Park in the main parking area next to the road (not by the boat launch). Bring clues for the Mother/Daughter Letterbox (Planted by my mom), it is on the way to this box.

Cross the road and begin on the red trail. At the T with an old dirt road, go left continuing on the red. You will see water up ahead of you as you walk. Before the trail splits at the water, take the first left to stay on the red trail. You're almost there! Pass by a small log pile, then a bigger 'dead tree' pile both on the right. Pass by a tree broken off at about 10ft on the right. After that tree, go to the second red trail blaze. Count 7-8 paces from there. Look on the right for a 4ft log on the ground, not too far off the trail. Behind this log, under some sticks and pine needles is the Happy Mother's Day box. Stamp in, cover well, and return the way you came. One way is about 10 minutes or less.

Happy Mother's Day, I love you Mom

PS - In case you didn't know, there are over 150 boxes in Mansfield and Mansfield Center. This box is a great starting point for many others in the immediate area. Have fun in CT's letterboxing capitol!
