The box was checked on 7/31/2007. It was in good condition and being used. The water flow was at at a good rate and the last road part had new gravel.

This place is scenic with two streams coming together in the middle of the falls. Definitely a place to have a camera and to wait for "just the right" light. The easy trail goes downhill to a viewpoint and is only about two hundred feet long. From a bridge where you park, we even saw trout far larger than you would expect.

To get there, turn off highway 126 and onto Sweet Creek Road just South of the Mapleton bridge and drive 12.5 miles to a turn-off marked for the Beaver Creek Falls Trailhead. (This is just after crossing the creek and passing the Wagon Road Trailhead.) Follow the gravel road about 1/2 mile and park by a bridge.

Walk on the trail, enjoying the stream, until you round a point and reach the viewpoint. Under a rock and under the bushes, but beside a log and on the uphill side of where you stand is a letterbox for you to enjoy.

And by-the-way, we definitely appreciate being e-mailed if there is trouble with the box.
