Alive and well 7-3-09. This letterbox was placed, and the stamp carved, by DrooP, who has moved to Pennsylvania, where she is still involved in letterboxing. I have adopted her box for maintenance purposes, so if you can't find the box or you see that it needs maintenance, please let me know. If you especially like the box or stamp or the beautiful park, please let DrooP know. She'll appreciate it. ...Boots Tex
TERRAIN: Easy trail
DIRECTIONS: From Glen Rose go west on FM 205 to Park Road 59 which ends at Dinosaur Valley State Park.
CLUES: From Track Site #3, take a look at the tracks and then take the paved trail to the left. Follow the trail to the 2nd brick wall and turn right and go down the incline to the dirt trail on the left. Follow this trail left for approximatly 50 steps then on the left off the trail 8 steps, just up the embankment in the bottom of a tree you will find Howling at the Moon covered by rocks. This tree has an opening at the bottom that is visible from both sides. If you continue to follow this dirt trail you will come to a rocky beach by the river, with a nice view of the cliffs, where perhaps something did sit and howl at the moon.
