Intact as of 06/30/13.

This is the first letterbox that we placed. We really appreciate feedback to know how we did. This box was place by our 5 year old with a little help from Mom.

The terrain is easy. It is a quick and easy search. You may want to bring some bug spray.

The box is located in the Bill Edge Deep Brook Reservation in Chelmsford, MA. It is off of Dunstable Road in North Chelmsford and will be on your left if you are coming from Vinal Square heading towards Tyngsborough. It is diagonally across the street from Cormier Road.

Park in the small wooded lot behind the sign and enter the reservation. Make sure to take a moment to familiarize yourself with the trail map.

Look for the "snake" pit on your right. I hope none escaped!

Continue along the trail until you reach the intersection of the green and red trails. Head left, following the green trail.

Look for the tree with the red paint on it. It will be on the left side of the trail. Now look for the next Green Trail marker. Be careful, because 30 paces ahead there is snake on the ground that likes to hiss at letterboxers! My son always likes to give the snake a good poke to protect me!

If you've made it this far, continue along the trail until you enter a small clearing where the trail turns right. You should be able to hear the sound of running water.

You will soon happen upon a bridge. Cross over it and continue along the trail for a short distance until you see a large tree.

At the tree, make sure you are still on the green trail and head left.

Look for a cluster of 6 trees growing together along the trail. Look right and spy another trail and a rock wall. Cross over the rock wall and then immediately count off 7 paces to your left and look in a nook. What do you see?

Please close up the letterbox thoroughly to protect it from the elements.

Go back to the large tree with the green trail marker and continue back the way you came. If you have time, please check out the Girl Scout Troop 6319 Letterbox while you are here!

Don't forget to email us at joekat5@hotmail.com to let us know what you thought. Thanks!
